San Francisco Tomodachi Fund (SFTF) is a small fundraising group which was formed by Japanese people who stood up through one Japanese website after the M 9.0 of the earthquake and tsunami occurred in Japan in March 11th, 2011. We collect donations and messages on the streets or we may have some performances. The donations will be sent to the most damaged places and the victims through major organizations such as red cross, YMCA, and UNICEF. For upcoming events, please check our website along with our Facebook page. We are welcome to advertise and support your fundraising group and event for Japan. Those don't have to be in SF or CA.

San Francisco Tomodachi Fund（通称:SFTF）は、 2011年3月11日に発生した東日本大震災を受け、サンフランシスコから復興支援をしようとオンライン情報サイトで集まったメンバーをもとに発足された団体です。 街頭募金活動や応援メッセージを集めることを中心とした被災地復興支援をしていきたいと考えていますが、それだけではなく、同時にこちらからもパフォーマンスやイベントなどを通して日本の文化を発信、伝えていきます。また、ローカルコミュニティや他団体の活動への協力もし、お互いを支えあえるような深い関係を築いていきたいと思います。
時が経てば経つほど、被災地のことは忘れ去られていきます。そうなる前に、いや、そうならないように一緒に活動しませんか。遠く離れた地サンフランシスコから日本を支えましょう。メンバーだけでなく、アイデアも随時募集中です。実際に街頭活動に参加できなくても、いろんなカタチでサポートしていただければと思います。随時情報更新していくので、頻繁にチェックしてください！
なお、集めた義援金の送金先は検討中です。情報が錯綜し、義援金が１００％（税控除も考慮）確実に素早く被災地に届く機関がどこなのかハッキリしていません。ご理解いただければと思います。今のところ「在サンフランシスコ日本国総領事館」を通して「日本赤十字社」に送る方法が第一候補です。追ってお伝えします。
